Recycling

Now I don't know about you guys, but I'm not much of a recycler. I think in the year and a half that I have lived here I might have filled my bin half way once, usually I will just throw it all in the main bin and get rid of it.

Imagine my astonishment when I was bringing back in my bin last friday and I placed it next to the recycle bin and found it to be full to just about the top.

Now my first reaction was to blame the neighbours, who else could it have been? But I have come up with alternative ideas on how it came to be full. Perhaps Aliens?? Seems like it could be, maybe they have seen the errors of our ways and want to help out the poor earth heathens, who don't do the right thing?

I think the more likely scenario though would be sleep walking and working. My selfconscience after I'm asleep is waking me to enough of a state to get out of bed and seperate the recyclables from non recyclables and then to open the door and head to the bins. What else really could it be?

Just one thing I've thought about though, there are many bottles and things that I never buy in the bin now. I've heard of sleep walking and talking, but sleep driving for things I never buy? I shall have to think more on the subject.

1st day of freedom

Ahh what to do with your first day off work? Well to start with instead of getting up at 5.30am for work, I slept in until 9.30am, you have no idea how good that felt, well you ladies with babies and young kids probably can dream how good it would feel :)

I hadn't been to the movies in like over a year, so I tee'd up with Elisa to go see a movie and we decided we would go and see the new Indiana Jones movie as we both hadn't seen it. The Crystal Skull was pretty good, pretty much like the other movies it's come after, although Harrison Ford is looking a little older, much like the rest of us these days.

When I got home I found a footy game on foxtel and laid down on the couch with a doona to watch it, I think I made it through about 20 mins before I fell asleep and woke up about 4pm. I'll tell you one thing, it was a nice sleep compared with my usual afternoon sleep lately where your all balled up on the drivers seat with your legs over or around the steering wheel of the truck and you wake up with sore and dead legs. haha.

Talking of Bikes

Well today I was out doing a delivery and as I pulled up to one house, I saw a boy on a bike and thought you beauty, someone is home. The boy rode of on a bike, so I thought, oh there must be someone else home. Well there was and he came out of the house and goes to me, was there just someone on a bike then, I go yeh, and he looks down the street and goes to me, was he riding it? I said yep and he goes did you see which way he went? So I pointed the way he went and he goes he's just stolen my bike. He asked if it was a boy, and I go yep, and he goes did you see what he looked like? I said nope not really, he was just a boy, I was just glad I saw someone at home, he goes was he a kid or older? I said a kid and he goes young or old? I said young, that was all I had for him, didn't know I was looking at a thief and I needed to check him out closer!!!

You be the Judge

Coffs Harbour has the big banana, Nambour has the big cow, Spreyton has, who can forget it, the big spud and new york may even be the big apple, but make the judgement yourself.
The big Bicycle at Chullora.

I think there is no contest, look at that little beauty.
